Bulgarian for Foreigners, Beginner

At level A1 in Bulgarian, a person develops the following initial skills and competences:

• Basic grammar: Students are introduced to the basic grammatical structures of the Bulgarian language, including the most basic tenses and verb forms.
• Basic Vocabulary: Students acquire knowledge of basic vocabulary covering everyday topics such as family, occupations, food, numbers and other basic concepts.
• Reading Basics: Develops the ability to comprehend short and simple texts that contain basic information.
• Beginning Writing Skills: Students learn how to compose simple sentences and short texts, concentrating on the correct use of basic grammatical structures.
• Oral Communication Fundamentals: Students develop the skills to participate in basic conversations, which include introductions, greetings and communicating at a basic level.
• Listening: Students train their ear to recognize and understand basic phrases and expressions in English.
• Cultural Awareness:** Introduction to the basics of Bulgarian culture and society to support effective communication and integration.
• Phonics: Basic knowledge of the phonetic system of the Bulgarian language is acquired, which includes learning the correct pronunciation of words.
